Abstract

In this study, Hassan Hanafi's view on the relationship between Sharia and the government is examined, and through it, his approach to the dual nature of politics / Sharia is examined, and then, the relationship between the two in organizing the government is examined. The main axis of politics in the modern era. The formation of modern modernity in the orbit of the Western political order in the phenomenon of managed government thus instilled in Muslims the way out of the current backwardness, providing customary answers to challenges such as the question of government, its legitimacy and how to organize it; Therefore, Muslim socio-political thinkers emerged to face such challenges. Of course, the issue was not just a way out of the massive decline, but a more fundamental issue was playing on the ground drawn by the Westerners in this area; Western modernity had defined for the category of progress and the progressive state a destination whose path crossed a certain boundary; The political issue, the formation of an efficient government, and more importantly the foundations of the legitimacy and acceptance of such a government, became a recent challenge for Islamic societies.
